2K Games has appointed a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the studio crew at 31st Union, which is currently developing the anticipated over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Management Change Follows Poor Feedback
Brinkman assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the dismissal of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to the game's lackluster initial reveal last autumn.
Recently, the company's top executive a key figure updated employees about this strategic move through an internal memo, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had indicated the necessity for a more defined direction.
Ismailer noted that the developers is now overhauling Project Ethos with a refreshed focus, aiming to satisfy gamer demands.
Trend of Key Recruitment
This announcement mirrors a comparable move taken by the publisher in August, when they brought on an industry veteran from the Diablo team to assist with the BioShock studio Cloud Chamber.
Below is the full text from the president's announcement:
Hello Everyone—
I understand you all just wrapped up your gathering - I trust you’re as excited as I am with the positive developments. Previously I sent you all a note, I mentioned the following: “I believe in this group. You all are some of the most dedicated and talented developers we have had the chance to work with - and we’re looking forward for that partnership to endure.”
Given your hard work and adaptability, especially over the past twelve months, you repeatedly show that.
The player input from last fall’s Project ETHOS demo was enlightening. It confirmed the promise of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had improvements to make. It revealed the requirement for a sharper identity.
It’s been inspiring to see how far you’ve progressed. You embraced the input to heart and revamped the title with a revitalized goal - one that’s positioned to achieve its potential to our audience.
Our confidence in Project ETHOS increases every day. To further the incredible advancement you’ve made, I am thrilled to announce the new hire as the new Lead of the team. Following a period of conversations, Ben starts with us on next week.
Ben’s guidance and expertise in the competitive gaming genre is considerable, having spent the last 15 years producing and managing some of the most recognizable series in gaming, including the acclaimed shooter, and more recently, the battle royale hit.
Please join me in receiving him soon. We are all looking forward to persist witnessing the progress of the game in the time to ahead.
The President

Customize your character in real-time to match your preferred approach," the official summary explains. "Face the rivals with fresh skills, challenges, and challenges that shift every match. Do you safely extract with your hard-earned loot? Or go big, put it on the line, and hope your group can secure victory? The option is up to you."
Project Ethos does not have an announced launch window or supported systems, but fans can look forward to more updates as development advances.
